My wife and I have stayed at Bayview Lodge many times over the last 10 years. There were some years we would go for walleye in the spring and then for muskies later in the summer. There are many reasons for returning over the years. First and foremost, the Winnipeg River is a beautiful place to go and relax. The resort location adds to the experience. It is a boat-in resort near the town of Minaki. This puts the resort away from the hustle and bustle of town. In the 10 years we have gone there, we have yet to take equipment to the cabin from the boat and felt secure that everything would be where we left it in the morning. Yet, if you need to go to town, it is just a quick boat ride away. Bryan and Kathleen are wonderful people who we now consider friends. Kathleen does a super job making sure the cabins are clean and ready for your arrival. If you go American Plan, she will make sure your meals are succulent. She is an excellent cook and service is top notch. Bryan is very knowledgeable about the Winnipeg River system and always knows what is going on. In short, they are excellent hosts and are always ready to help you when needed. Oh, plus the muskie fishing is world class! Go and enjoy the hospitality at Bayview Lodge. Another plus is Jennifer and Jr. They are very special!
My family and I have been going to Bayview Lodge for the past 10 years for our spring fishing trip. We love the area, the fishing, but most of all Bryan, Kay and the whole Rheault family. Our purpose is to go to a special place so we can spend quality time with our family doing something we love. Catch a lot of fish! The fishing is always great and the variety of fish is awesome. We want to thank you for making Bayview a very special place in our hearts. Our kids have grown up going to Bayview every year and I expect my grandchildren will too!
My name is Frank Baute and we have a group of fisherman called the Sq. Anglers. We have been going to Bayview on a bus for over 30 years in May and September. I like smallmouth fishing and have caught over 10 fish that were 20-23 inches. Kay is a great cook and you never go hungry, food is delicious. Cabins are very comfortable, Bryan keeps boat motors updated for fishing. Come visit and try the Walleye, Northern and Bass.
Our family has spent a week at Bayview for each of the past 8 summers now. Every year I give my wife and daughters the option of where to go for our summer vacation and every year they choose to go back to Bayview. It's one of our best weeks of the year. The Winnipeg River and the adjacent lakes are a fabulous body of water. We love exploring all the remote bays and islands and casting for muskies and northerns. It's a huge body of water and every year we discover a number of new hot spots. The scenery is gorgeous with birds and wildlife everywhere. No cars, phones or TV's. The facilities are clean and well kept. There's a good spot for swimming. Bryan and Kay are great hosts. For our family, Bayview has become a wonderful tradition.
